Now we have reached the final step in the creation of the advertisement πŸ₯³

Here, it's time to choose how and where the advertisement will be published!

Publishing

You start by choosing whether the advertisement should be published externally or internally

Depending on the setting, you can also choose to publish an advertisement externally with an internal pre-publication. If you haven't activated the setting, you won't see the option.

Publication Date

Next, you choose when the advertisement is published and when the last application date should be.

  • If you set the publication date to today's date, the advertisement will be published as soon as you press "Publish".

    • It may take a while before it appears on some external publication channels, but usually, the publication on your website happens immediately.

  • If you set the publication date to a future date, the advertisement will be published when the selected date comes into effect.

Last Application Date

  • The last application date is the date on which both the advertisement will be taken down from publication channels and the last day candidates can submit their applications.

  • When a date is entered, the time will automatically be set as 23:59, but you can manually change it if you want to take down the advertisement earlier than that on the selected date.

Job boards

The last thing you do is categorize your ad and select which channels the advertisement will be published on!

Categorisation

A categorisation must always be chosen for all ads, whether it is to be published to Platsbanken or not. Here, you choose which category the service falls under, and if you do not want to browse through the lists, you can use the search function!

If the ad is to be published to the Platsbanken, you cannot select "Unspecified" for any of the choices, as they will not accept the ad!

The different Job boards

Which options are available here can vary depending on whether you work towards any specific channel, but usually, Platsbanken, Website/Intranet, and Hidden publication will be available. Also Offentliga Jobb, if you have an operation that is fully or partially funded by the public sector.

If you choose a publication channel that has additional options or where you need to enter, for example, billing information, new fields will appear at the bottom of the step:

The choice of Website/Intranet is usually linked to your website and intranet (which one applies depends on whether you have chosen it to be an internal or external advertisement), and it is this choice that controls that the advertisement is published to your website and/or your intranet.

The option for Hidden publication is usually not linked to anything and will thus mean that the advertisement does not get published on any website. This option can advantageously be used for internal testing or training, for example!

Publish!

Okay, we lied a bit, the very last thing you do is to publish the ad! You simply do this by pressing "Publish" at the bottom right corner πŸ˜„

If you can't see that button, it may be that you lack the permission to publish an advertisement, and then you can seek help from an internal administrator.

Great job! Now the advertisement is out, and it's getting close to handling the applications you receive. For more information on how to do this, you can take a look at our guides regarding candidate management that you find here!
