Mirroring ads, also referred to as shadow ads, are used to create multiple ads that gather all applications into one case. This is particularly useful when the same position needs to be advertised in multiple locations, as certain publishing channels, like Platsbanken, only allow one location per ad.

When an ad is created, it receives a unique application link, and it is this link that enables you to direct applications from several different ads to a centralized location for candidate management.

Creating a mirroring ad

The process relies on first creating your main case, which is where you will manage all incoming candidates. Then you create one or more mirroring ads that link to the main case.

  1. Retrieve the application link from the main case

    • Navigate to the case you have created as the main case.

    • In the case view, click on the information icon.

    • Copy the link at “Apply link”. This link will be used as the path for the mirroring ad.

  2. Create the mirroring ad

    • Create a new ad as usual.

    • In the "Application" step, under "Application method," choose the option "Apply with another application link".

If you use the new harmonized application process, the option is located under "Application form" and is called "Use an alternative application method".

Note that the user right "Application method - Edit link/web" is required to be able to add another application link.

  • Paste the copied link from your main case into the "Application Link" field.

  • Complete and publish the ad.

When applicants apply through the mirroring ad, their application is automatically sent to the main case. The applications are managed there just like those submitted directly through the main case. No applications will be distributed to the mirroring ad.

Note: Ensure that the application link to the main case is included in the mirroring ad at the time of the initial publication. Do not publish the ad first and change the link afterward.

Management of candidates

Since all applications are collected in one case, it can be valuable to distinguish which candidates are interested in which locations. An effective way to do this is to add a questionnaire in the main case. The question will then be included in the application form for all ads linking to it. For example, you could ask a question like "Which location are you interested in working at?"

Exclude the mirroring ad from statistical reports

To ensure that mirroring ads are not included in your statistics, you can choose to exclude them from your statistical reports.

  • In the case details, under the "Statistics" section, check the box "Exclude from statistics".

Note that a specific user right, "Recruitment - Exclude ad from statistics," is required to use this feature.
