Sometimes the posting time for an advertisement may need to be extended for various reasons, and this guide will walk you through how to do it!
There are two ways to change the last posting date.
You can edit the advertisement and change the date from there.
You can use the "extend publication date" function found in the case list.
Extend the publication time from within the advertisement
To change the last application date, and thereby extend how long the advertisement is published, from within the advertisement, you first need to enter the editing mode for the ad!
Go to the advertisement you want to edit.
Go to the step called "Advertisement".
If you have the right to edit an advertisement, you will see the option "Edit advertisement" in the middle of the screen - click there!
Go to the step called "Publication" and choose a new publication date.
Save and don't forget to republish the advertisement!
🛑 If you do not republish the advertisement, the new date will not be registered on external publication sites! 🛑
Extend the publication time from the case list
The second way to extend the publication time is arguably a bit smoother 😁 You do not need to worry about republishing the advertisement and there are fewer steps.
Look for the advertisement you want to extend by going to the case list via Recruitment -> Cases.
If you do not see the case in the list, you can search for it via the search filter, using the reference number or title, for example.
Once you have found the advertisement you want to extend, click on the three dots in the “Actions” column and choose “Prolong publication date”.
Simply enter a new date in the field for "Last application date" and press Publish! You can extend the advertisement in this way whether the advertisement is active right now or if the application period has expired 🥳
Publication Limits
There are certain limits you need to be aware of!
An advertisement cannot be published in the system for more than 10 months.
If you try to publish an advertisement for longer than this, you will receive an error message.
Swedish Platsbanken does not allow publications that exceed 180 days.
On your account, you can specify your own publishing rules and set your own limit for how long an advertisement can be published.
To bypass this rule, you need to have a specific permission as a user.
